About Rabia Basri
A Global Mission
Rabia Basri Foundation was established in 2021 by a team of seasoned educators at the height of COVID-19 to cater to the unmet needs of children with learning difficulties in Pakistan. As we dug deeper, we recognized that differently-abled children and disabled children were completely left out of the education system and regressed significantly due to the non-availability of educational and complementary services all over the world. Children from the poorest homes and in conflict-affected areas were impacted the most. All this while disabling conditions such as anxiety and tension started rising amongst children globally. Almost overnight, school systems all over the world began to struggle with these issues. Our mission could no longer be focused solely on Pakistan, so we became global.
Skills For All
The latest research on the skills necessary to succeed in an uncertain world of work place great emphasis on empathy, inclusion, diversity and teamwork, and the ability to work with all types of minds. Thus, whilst RBF was created to focus on children with different learning needs. it soon transformed into an organization that would strive to create education systems that cater to the learning needs of all children. The premise of our educational model is that inclusion is good for everyone, and empathetic people create a just equitable, and prosperous society.
Towards Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
At RBF we believe that children with learning differences are here for a purpose. They are unique gifts and, with a conducive environment, can prosper and shine. We believe that building inclusive schools creates inclusive and equitable societies, as we all recognize the uniqueness of each of us, the disability and potential within each of us, neurotypical or neurodiverse, abled or disabled, black or white, poor or rich. Education systems need to transform to value the uniqueness of each child.

Our Mission
Sparking educational transformations: RBF aims to support schools to become inclusive by training schoolteachers, leaders, and parents to become inclusive, enable children from all backgrounds to thrive in their learning journeys, and recognize that each child is a unique gift and is here for a purpose. We work with schools, parents, and communities to increase awareness of neurodiversity and train them to support the learning needs of these unique souls so they can live independently, achieve their full potential, and become productive members of the world. We also connect our educators with globally recognized experts to expand their horizons, potential, and motivation, and to equip them with tools to engage effectively with students and families with all types of challenges. We aim to build systems for all ages and work with media to eliminate the stigma around being a differently-abled learner.
Our Logo: The Butterfly
Modelled after the butterfly and its metamorphic cycle, our logo symbolises growth and transformation – essential for our mission to foster inclusive educational communities. The butterfly design consists of four components, each reflecting the different values of our foundation. All aspects blend together under the umbrella of inclusion.
